Product Introduction
Urban road renovations have to keep traffic moving while the pavement, utilities and sidewalks come up for rebuild. This temporary Bailey bridge gives you a quiet, well-lit, two-lane detour that carries cars, buses and cyclists past the construction zone. Sitting in a residential or commercial neighborhood, it has to be visually unobtrusive, low-noise and fenced to pedestrian standards. Most of the erection happens at night or on weekends to keep disruption down, and the detour stays up for the whole multi-month renovation. We designed it to blend into the streetscape while still carrying standard highway loading safely and predictably. The temporary bailey bridge for urban road renovation detour is built for this.

Working Principle
Mechanically it's a through-truss girder. Traffic loads pass from the asphalt-overlaid deck through the floor beams into the twin main trusses; the diagonals spread the shear as axial forces, and the chords resist the bending envelope. Urban loading means lots of frequent bus and truck passes, so we put reinforced chord segments over midspan to carry that steady hammering. The erection is the bit that's different from a rural job: a mobile crane works mostly at night, lifting pre-assembled truss sections onto pre-installed concrete abutment caps. Because the panel connections are pinned and bolted with no field welding, you keep the noise and sparks down during urban installation. After the truss is up we fit the fascia panels and crash barriers, then match the road markings, lighting and signage to the surrounding street. The temporary bailey bridge for urban road renovation detour is built for this.
Applications
This serves municipal road authorities, urban-renewal contractors, transit agencies and commercial-district improvement programs. Typical use is detours during road resurfacing, utility relocation, sidewalk reconstruction and bridge-deck replacement on urban arterials. It also backs bus-route maintenance, emergency detours during urban water-main replacement, and temporary crossings for neighborhood revitalization projects.
