Modular Design: Composed of standardized truss units (i.e., Bailey panels), cross beams, longitudinal beams, deck panels, bridge seats, and connectors. All components can be prefabricated and interchanged, facilitating transport and rapid assembly.

Quick Assembly and Disassembly: Uses bolted or pinned connections, requiring no large machinery. Simple tools and manpower are sufficient to set up or dismantle the bridge in a short time, making it especially suitable for emergency rescue and military applications.

High Load Capacity and Adaptability: By increasing the number of truss rows (single, double, triple) and layers (single, double), the span (e.g., the domestic 321 type spans 9–63 meters, the HD200 type 9.14–76.2 meters) and load class (e.g., from Car-10 to Trailer-80) can be flexibly adjusted. The maximum allowable load can exceed 30 tons.

Lightweight Yet Strong Rigidity: Manufactured from 16Mn high-strength steel, each Bailey panel weighs approximately 270 kg. However, the truss structure design provides excellent structural rigidity and fatigue life, effectively handling dynamic loads.
