Inside a working quarry the traffic never lets up. Haul trucks, loaders and excavators cross the same spot thousands of times a day, loaded, dusty and unforgiving. Working Principle
Think of it as a modular parallel-chord truss that lives or dies by how it handles wheel loads. The thick 10 mm deck plate and the transoms spaced every 1.5 m take the truck tyres first, so each panel node only ever sees a manageable share of the gross vehicle weight. The harder problem in a quarry is repetition. With thousands of load cycles, the weak points are the pin holes and the welded panel nodes, so we run fatigue checks there specifically. Support is simple: concrete abutments or timber cribs filled with quarry spoil. And because the whole thing is modular, when the pit moves forward we dismantle it and re-erect it at the new location with the same panels. Nothing is thrown away.
Applications
These crossings mainly serve internal quarry access over drains, conveyor trenches and watercourses, and the routes between the quarry face and the processing plant.
